He studied recorder (J. Braná) and conducting (J. Štrunc, B. Procházka) at the conservatory in Pilsen. He then completed his postgraduate studies with Corina Marti at the prestigious Schola cantorum basiliensis (Musik Akademie Basel), where he specialized in late middle ages and early renaissance music. During his studies he also took part in many masterclasses (P. Holtslag, A. Solomon, P. Ayrton, C. van Heerden, B. Honig, ...) and further education in the field of opera conducting (with Prof. G. Ch. Sandmann). He also got the Ph.D. in History.
In the field of early music he collaborates with leading ensembles such as Collegium 1704, Capella Regia, Collegium Marianum, Czech Ensemble Baroque with which he has performed on leading European stages (Prague Spring, Semperoper Dresden, Teatro Arriaga, Grand Theater de Luxembourg, Salzburger festspiele, Concentus Moraviae, ...). For recording Haendel's overtures, he won the title of Concerto Bohemia (2016) radio competition.
He is a teacher of recorder at the Prague Conservatory. Since 2012, he has also been the artistic direction of the Baroque Orchestra of the Prague Conservatory. Since the autumn of 2018, he has been teaching recorder at Masaryk University in Brno. In 2009 he based a group CONCERTO AVENTINO and established the trio TRE FONTANE.
