Marek has been playing the cello since the age of five, he started in the class of prof. Kateřina Hroníková in ZUŠ Jana Hanuše, then he was in the class of prof. Martin Škampa at the Music School of the city Prague. He graduated from the Prague Conservatory with prof. Michal Kaňka and now is with the same professor in the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
During his studies at the Prague Conservatory, he repeatedly performed as a soloist with the Prague Conservatory Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Chuhei Iwasaki. In 2015, he participated in the project of ZUŠ and the Czech Philharmonic under the direction of Jiří Bělohlávek. Recently he played as a soloist with international PINTJO orchestra or with Prague chamber orchestra (PKF).
He regularly participates in music masterclasses in Litomyšl, Soběslav, Trogir, Split and studied with professors such as Niklas Eppinger, Petr Nouzovský, Jiří Bárta or Mihovil Karuza.
